Moorlands Model Show - By Adrian Reynolds

Flying the ASVC flag at this years Moorlands Model Show were John, Shirley, Norman, Kate, Shaun with his better half Lorna and myself. We produced another great display with a wide variety of subjects yet again. Shaun brought along his Leopold Diorama which was the length of an entire table!

Although the weather, the tennis final and Grand Prix were all on the same day it didn't stop a healthy steady stream of visitors from taking a look around. At 11.30 Shaun took his competition entries up the the judging room, these included his Buffalo, Leopold and a Submarine.

Throughout the day raffle tickets were sold and there was also a Tombola stand to chance your luck and support Help for Heroes, I think we should mention here that Shirley totalled 4 wins in all !

At 4 o'clock the results were announced and Shaun came away with a 2nd place for his Submarine and a 3rd place for his Leopold, well done that man!

All in all it was a great day and well worth the trip up the M6
