July 6th 2013 - This one "Tops" the lot!

Picture
The new T-Shirt!
I'm pleased to say we had a much better turn out this month due to the fact the meeting date did not clash with any shows! This months meeting covered our group build of Tunisia between 1941 and 43 which was well supported and to a high calibre. Folk also brought various builds along that they have completed, so once again a lovely array of builds for all to see.

A Warm welcome was also made to 3 visitors and we look forward to seeing them again.

As usual plenty of chatter...and banter was had by all. We discussed the upcoming shows  we will be attending, in particular the Staffordshire Moorlands model show which is soon to hit the show report section as was next day and by all accounts although hot it was well worth it!

I was also delighted to present members with the new club tops range as promised, with myself modelling the 'T-shirt', which is where  the banter comes in! There is also a Polo Shirt and a Sweater with the club logo embroidered on. The good news is that the club will purchase the first top free for all fully paid up members, so if you have not given me your request then do so pronto as the first order is going in very soon! Additional tops can be ordered for anyone wanting the range...which many folk do and is a good indicator how pleased members are if you have not seen them yet!

Finally the plans for the September show are slowly coming together and hopefully at the next meeting in August we will be able to share the new banners that are being produced for the A449 both ways.....so watch this space!

Any way, below are a few pics from the meeting including a few more shots of my own modelling efforts in the garden and remember folks, the August 3rd meeting is now on!

Until then.....Happy modelling!
